My Reflection - "Pauwi Na"

The Characters that plays the film surprised and amazed me, they share their expertise without hesitation and the unique presentation of the film from the very beginning.

The movie "Pauwi Na" is a movie inspired by a real life event, showing the reality of underprivileged individuals. This movie seems to be metaphoric that makes me more curious to  watch until the end.

While watching, I was reminded that I am still blessed beyond measure in behalf of all the trials I'm going through. And with God, nothing is impossible, let's just open our heart and have faith with Him and surely He will not for sake us.

The things that I learned from the movie are:

  • Family will always be with you in-spite of the short comings in life, that no matter what happens to you in the deepest challenge, you are loved and accepted.
  • Faith in God will never lead you to harm.
  • He who commits injustice will not succeed.
While watching this movie a tragedy memory come up, not so similar but in a since that those tragedy in their family happened while traveling makes the resemblance. It was after we celebrate the new year way back 2004 in my fathers place were we (my mother and my 3 month old brother) need to travel back to my mother's place because of her work. While traveling, my little brother cried so loud that we cannot understand and causes him to grasp his breathing. The mode of transportation at that time was so hard, we need to get on a boat to go on the next town for us to ride on a public utility jeep. To make the story short, since we are in the middle of the sea, we have no choice but to wait until it arrives and sad to say that my little brother didn't make it to the hospital anymore. And so we need to go back to my father's place, another big challenge occur when no one is willing to help us for they believe that carrying a dead people in their passenger boat will bring bad luck to their business.

The seen that resonate me most is where Isabela is always talking to God whenever she feels unsecured of the things that is happening around her.

One realization that was formed in my mind while watching is "No matter how life brings us down if God is with in us, we can overcome it, and a resolution to change the idea of always using poverty in making bad action.
